IT IS NOT OVER WITH YOU YET!

Life is in stages, each of which has its own challenges. Everyday breaks with an unknown and unforeseen reality and possibility received with mixed feelings. Most times life doesn’t go as planned, thought or hoped. Sometimes we wonder if we will survive our challenges, if there is still hope, if our situations and life will ever change for the better. We ask “Can God do this?”
I want you to know that it is not over with you yet. Your life is not finished, your condition is not hopeless, and your situation is salvageable.

May be you look backward and forward, and there is no basis to stand in trust, may be you have failed as many times as you have tried, or you have made decisions and resolutions and have failed as many times as you had; maybe you look at your life and the guilt of sin echoes around and from within; or you sin at every attempt to live right, or you are misunderstood at every attempt to show love and care. I tell you, it is not over with you yet. The mercy of God still echoes. God created you and saw that you were good (Genesis1). The God who created you has not given up on you, so why give up on yourself. I don’t know how bad you think your case may be. I don’t know how many times you have cried and wept over your situation, condition, circumstance, challenges and peculiar need. It is still not over with you because there is a God in heaven.

Though your life may seem like a wilderness, some one knows the way, His name is Jesus. He has an answer and a solution to your entire problem. He can restore you back against all odds, and He can heal you of your diseases, restore your wasted years, wipe away your tears, lift you above your fears and decorate your life with beauty, favour and glory. You may say “I don’t understand”. Yes, men and women including me may not understand but Jesus understands and He has the solution to it.

There is a God in heaven that is worthy to be trusted and relied on. He can be your shield and anchor. Even if the whole world fails you He cannot fail. God can make you what He wants you to be. He can make you smile again. God has not forsaken you, He has not abandoned you, and He has not rejected you. God loves you; He still has you in mind. He is God, He is never tired of looking at your face, even when your life is like without hope, even when there is no reason for you to continue to live or be considered, He still remains in His default state of showing mercy, abounding in love, faithful in all situation, never giving up on you and me.

He is a dependable God. When the children of Israel lost all hope; with the red sea before them and the chariots of Egyptians behind. Yes, there was no hope, there was no reason or basis to believe, but He showed up in His mercy. He suspended the waves of the sea, parted the red sea and dried up the ground. They walked on a dry ground and their adversaries perished in the same sea. How can you explain that? When the widow in Luke7 lost her son( her only surviving hope); men, friends, and enemies were busy crying with her going to bury her only son; but when Jesus saw her, He had compassion on her and restored the dead son back to life. Her hope lived again, sympathy was turned to thanksgiving, and her worst day became her best. This is what God wants to do in your life. He wants to do something that even your enemies will see and cannot help but to praise God with you.

Saul was a sinner, a murderer and a religious fanatic busy ignorantly after his father’s tradition. Saul’s life was a wasted life heading to damnation; yet He, who was and is to come, the master diviner saw beyond the shame, the radicalism and showed him mercy, changed his name to Paul and he became the greatest Apostle that has ever lived. Can you see why I can’t give up on you? If Saul can become Paul, then why do you think it is over with you? The mercy of God still echoes even in your heart. God is not man. If we were to nominate and vote for an Apostle after Gods heart for special anointing and commissioning to minister to the Gentiles; I believe no one, even me and you will consider Saul.

I still believe you can, God is not dead and He is still the life for dry bones, the way in the red sea, the water from the rock, sight to the blind, father of the fatherless, hope for the hopeless. He is a trustworthy, compassionate and merciful father; you can leave your life in His hands and go to sleep with your two eyes closed. People may have given up on you, hiss when they see you, written you off, forgotten, forsaken and abandoned you but He has not. He is still interested in you and wants to use you to show the world that He is a good and mighty God; but will you allow Him?

Dear friend, God wants to change your story. I don’t know you, your challenges, struggles, fears and tears, but I know it is a small thing for God to solve and amend. God wants to restore your wasted years, change your life and situation, and empower you to pursue, overtake and recover all you have lost; if only you can invite Him into that situation. Only Him can do this. Invite Him today and live to sing a new song and tell a new story.
If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour say this prayer “Lord Jesus have mercy upon me and forgive me of my sins, wash me clean with your blood, wipe my name out from the book of death and write my name in the book of life, I believe that you died for me and I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour, thank you for saving me, in Jesus name”.
